Lind Xpress® Gets an Upgrade! More User-Friendly Features

By Kristina Zurla Landgraf  ISSUE 603 | MARCH 2007

You'll now discover some new improvements to our downloadable trading platform, Lind Xpress. We've upgraded this powerful platform in response to customer requests, with enhanced features and more intuitive functionality. If you haven't used Lind Xpress to trade, now's the time to check it out! As always, this platform is free for Lind-Waldock clients to use with no hidden fees. "Trading can be challenging enough. With our platform, you can focus solely on trading the markets. You don't have to be a technology expert, or worry about how to navigate the platform," said Daryl Browdy, manager of software development at Lind-Waldock.

The process of setting up and viewing market data has been significantly enhanced. Whether you view streaming or snapshot data, Lind Xpress now features one common interface for trading directly from a market quote. Additionally, you have a more efficient way to view critical information about your accounts. For example, account transactions, including orders, fills and positions, have been consolidated onto one screen. With this screen you are provided a multi-layered filtering system that allows you to view specific information in your account in a customized manner that suits your needs.

Here are some of the new Lind Xpress version 6.2.4 features and functions to make your trading experience easier.

  • Streaming and snapshot quotes feature a consolidated and intuitive interface for both displaying and trading from quotes.
    View the streaming quotes screen.
  • Trade off of either of these quote interfaces using the same interface (click the box and you can buy or sell)
  • Add quotes by simply typing them into an empty quote slot. There is no need to save them in preferences (as was the case in older versions).
  • The futures quote syntax is ESM7, SK7, GCJ7, etc – no delimiters are used. For options, you must use a "–" separating the contract code, month, year, from the strike/pc – i.e. ESM7-1500C
  • A scrolling ticker is available for up-to-the-minute information.
    See how the ticker looks.
  • Orders, fills and positions are consolidated to one page – there is no need to flip between positions/fills and orders pages.
View a sample account data screen.
  • Extensive filtering has been added to the activity page (orders, fills and positions), and you can filter many different ways. Highly active traders will find the filtering to be particularly useful. You can also load multiple accounts.
  • Enter orders from a speed line "hard-wired" onto the top right of the main form – this is always visible for immediate order placement.
  • You can "pull" or cancel all working orders, or all orders for a specific account, with one click.

If you are a current Lind Xpress user, you'll be able to upgrade your application the first time you log in. If you don't have a Lind-Waldock account, click here to find out more about Lind Xpress and how to access this software via a free SimTrade account.
