I bring a unique perspective to trading as a result of my prior experience in risk management. My goal is to use the training from my former position in an effort to help clients develop trading strategies that focus on maximizing potential while limiting risk exposure to a defined level. All traders have different levels of risk tolerance and profit objectives. After defining these preferences, we can then use technical and fundamental analysis to develop specific futures and options strategies that are in line with the stated objectives.

Industry Background:

I began my career in risk management with Lind-Waldock, and after some time in that capacity, I saw the opportunity to use my market knowledge as well as my knowledge of risk management strategies to assist other investors and traders. After spending time as an assistant broker, I refined my trading acumen to better complement a client-centric approach. After several years learning the business from established brokers, I have cultivated my own trading desk, designed to best serve the needs of each individual client. My goal is to use my background in risk management, trading experience, and education to assist other traders.  Currently, I am studying economics at the University of Chicago – Booth School of Business, and am a CFA candidate.

Trading Strategies:

I have a very strong conviction that using option writing strategies to collect premium can be a highly successful method of trading for the right investor. It should be noted that option writing is not for everyone, and should not be undertaken without reviewing risk/reward ratios with an experienced trader. For other traders, I look for short-term patterns that offer inexpensive option trades to establish limited-risk positions. For others, longer-term options are more suitable for gaining commodity exposure to their portfolio. The key is to establish goals before trading in order to determine what trading strategies offer a high probability of success for each individual.

Analysis Preference:

Fundamentals, Micro and Macro Economics, Prevailing Trends
